Tim Horstman, President of Nexvision along with co-production partner Michelle DeLong of Mimi Productions, recently were awarded six International Telly Awards...
A Silver award was for Videography for a show on the Hallmark Channel. The same segment on the show also was also awarded a Bronze for producing in the News/Feature category. Horstman and De Long worked as Segment producers for the "New Morning" show on the Hallmark Channel all of last year. Another Hallmark Channel segment also received two Bronze awards for Videography and for producing in the Nature/Wildlife catagories.The final two Bronze awards were presented in the new Telly Web Awards...more
The video series Pure Stock, which Horstman and De Long created, showcases the trials and tribulations of an amateur stock car racing division, it won for Use of Graphics, and for producing in the Sports categories. You can watch the show and participate in the social networking site that Horstman and De Long created at www.purestock.tv. It is the only place on the internet devoted to amateur 4-cylinder stock car racing.
The Telly Awards are widely regarded, and winners are chosen for their excellence among International competitors. The 29th annual Telly Awards received over 14,000 entries from around the world and only 7-10% are chosen for the Silver award. Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition and receives over 14,000 enties annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries. A few past award winners include: AETV (A and E Television), Discovery Communications, Comcast Spotlight, Warner Brothers and many more.
Horstman and De Long have been collaborating on many projects over the years. Both have worked for the big 4 major networks in Chicago. But not till recently have they begun to venture into Television show production. They have completed the first full season of the show "Pure Stock" the show has been shown exclusively on the internet. The show is a Docu-soap show shot like a reality show that documents the struggles of the 4-cylinder stock car racing division at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL. Currently the show is being prepared for national and International distribution on Television. This is one of six projects currently being developed for television by the duo. A few of the other shows include a cooking show staring well known author and chef Rick Tramonto of Tru in Chicago, as well as a show about quirky positive news, hosted by a well known actor and comedian. This isn't the first time Horstman and De Long have won awards. Previously Horstman has procured 9 Emmy nominations, and 3 Emmy awards, 2 AP awards, a Peter Lisagor award and an NPPA National Humanitarian Award naming a few. De Long has gathered 4 Emmy nominations and 2 Emmys as well as a Davey Award.
